Approaching Kagbeni through a desert-like wilderness. Behind Jen, the V-shaped snowy col between Yakawa Kang (left, 6,482m) and Khatung Kang (right, 6,484m) is the Thorung La. At this point we have already descended more than 2,000m and are positively wading through the thick air!
