Our goal had been to reach Chame, but as we descended from Temang in fading light we decided to stop at a closer village, Koto. Here, we spent a very interesting evening round the kitchen fire in our chosen lodge in the company of the local school teacher, drinking rakshi (a local spirit made from grain).
