Jen and I spent 10 days in Sharm-el-Sheikh, Egypt in June 2008. It was a holiday shamelessly devoted to sunbathing and snorkelling in the Red Sea, cocooned in the comfort of 5-star hotels. A very different kind of holiday for us, but with good reason: we were on honeymoon! Don't expect scenic landscape photos - there are lots of fish though!

The first set of photos are from in and around the Sharm hotels we stayed at. We spent the first 6 nights at the Melia Sinai, close to the Straits of Tiran, and the last few nights at the slightly more exclusive Hyatt Regency, at the north end of Naama Bay.
Snorkelling Photos

The second set of photos were taken whilst snorkelling on the famous coral reefs of the Red Sea. We snorkelled mainly on the hotels' excellent house reefs, but also further afield at Tiran Island and Ras Mohammed. The photos came from a simple point-and-shoot Olympusndigicam in an underwater housing.
